Watched the first 20 or so laps, had dinner, cleaned up, resumed just as the drivers were getting back in their cars after the rain. Watched about 15 laps, got bored, decided to watch Back to the Future instead, resumed the race and saw a recap that showed virtually nothing interesting had occurred in the past 116 minutes. I decided to go to bed with about 100 laps to go, watched a 5 minute highlight video this morning and found that I didn't miss anything interesting.

Timmy Hill just blew up big time

Chastain and Briscoe both hit the wall, likely on oil

Another great finish. I just cannot imagine why these lower downforce cars keep having good races. Total mystery.

Shit winner, but seriously great finish, and really, the entire race was pretty eventful and entertaining.

Welcome stage racing, it has been thing for couple of years already including road races.

Quote:
In NASCAR racing, starting with the 2017 season, races in the top three national touring series are completed in three stages, four in the case of the NASCAR Cup Series’s longest race, the Coca-Cola 600.[1] A stage consists of normal green flag racing followed by a stoppage on a designated lap signified by the waving of a green and white checkered flag, then a yellow flag.[2] The top-10 finishers in each of the first two stages are awarded bonus championship points. The points earned are added to a driver/owner's regular season points total, while the winner of the stage receives an additional point that can be carried into the NASCAR playoffs.[3] The stage lengths vary by track, but the first two stages usually combine to equal about half of the race. The final stage (which still pays out the most championship points) usually equals the other half.

from wikipedia, some minor changes might have been made since

:flag:

But seriously, xFinity is getting better and better. A lot of competitive cars and Kyle Busch ain't the same anymore, thank God.

Couldn't watch the Coke 600 on monday cause I still had to do the box-score of the second Darlington race, used all my time for that, and then our iRacing League was the priority. Did a training race at 17h30pm-19h15, and started our league Coke 600 at 20h00 pm. When it had finished, I had raced for 7 hours straight. Watched the broacast of our race and got spoiled of the winner of the real Coke 600. So yesterday just got the xFinity torrent and got to watch it as if it was live, with no spoilers. First time I ever watched the Charlotte xFinity race with so much attention, after all, still missing all the time with no new races.... it was great.

Now onto the Trucks race.

i like to call it the "interactions on social media says we need more restarts because more people post on restarts" caution, mixture of the idea coming from that, Bruton mentioning it like 8 years ago & TV wanting more time to run ads
