Oh, for the love of Pete. Look at Hamlin's mask.

God the finish of that race was an absolute worst case scenario for me. My favorite current driver got wrecked by my least favorite driver while battling for the win, and then my second least favorite driver ended up winning the race after the rains came which is always a lame way to finish a race. NASCAR might as well have rung my doorbell and left a bag of flaming dog shit on my doorstop while they were at it.

Anyone else bothered that during Kyle Busch's interview, he took responsibility for the wreck, but never once actually said "I'm sorry"? To me that makes it come across entirely differently.

I will give Hamlin credit that his mask was hilarious though.

There are number of people who complain about certain drivers.

Sidebar, but I noticed last night during the coverage that they were already using Newman's Daytona crash in promo footage for NASCAR programming. Seems kinda bloodthirsty and fucked up.

They replayed it about 20 time before Sunday's race, it's already been filed in their "show the hugest wrecks possible to entice new fans that NASCAR is all wrecks instead of high downforce package boredom" drawer.
Enjoy seeing it many more times before the end of the season.

Based on the racing so far, there was zero need to rush back to put on the races they're doing.
They'd have been wise to wait for DEGA or just push that up the schedule if they wanted to capitalise on a lack of sport to gain maximum viewership
Most casual fans will give them a curious look then be out the door when the aero push sets in 3 laps after a restart.

I had left NASCAR for dead years ago. I couldn't be bothered to watch a race even if I didn't have any plans that day. The only reason I've been watching is because of extreme boredom. It's really hard for me to see past all of the gimmicks and just enjoy watching a race. The old Busch race they showed Tuesday night was a stark reminder of everything I loved about NASCAR when I was a kid and everything I hate about it now.

I can't believe I waited two days to watch Gragson lead every lap so far and the inevitable Kyle Busch stink show.

Rain ten miles away apparently so now they might race like it'll end at half distance.
