The Busch thing was mainly because of false allegations

I don't think the idea of virtual racing is the problem. How hard is it for drivers to understand that what they do in these races, now more than ever, represents them and the sport just as much as if they were at a real race? To think nobody's looking when you compete in an event under your own name where you are part of the promotional material is a special kind of stupid. It's not like he's shit talking on Counterstrike as the handle nofatchicks88.

I like Kyle, I think he's kinda the last guy most of us would expect to do this. I'm still trying to figure out how "hey n****r" gets worked into a radio check.

The problem is not virtual racing in the slightest. It should be pretty easy to not fucking say the N-word, regardless of the context or anything else. Don't fucking say that word.

That came later.

Cartman's referring to his constant anger issues and Kurt being a fucking idiot by way of DUI.

Reading the articles about it first, I thought there would be way more ill-intent and anger involved into it. Watching the clip, It's bad of course, but not immediate tar-and-feathers bad IMO.

Exactly. To be honest I don't get anyway why this word makes that amount of "damage". But anyway, it shouldn't be that hard. I've never said any bad word in my life. Never. Even when I was in car mechanic school where you do it very often when for example you loose some screws

Of course I'm talking about my PL language. Sometimes I've said something bad in english in a "meme" way

That word will cause problems in any American sport, but I think NASCAR actually will be *more* sensitive to this issue in some ways. (And from what I've seen, this is the case. A few other "casual N-bomb" incidents in American sports in the last couple decades have not caused the same amount of damage. These type of incidents actually are pretty rare because most people know better. :p )

NASCAR has a bit of a *cough* negative stereotype on racial issues. It's IMHO not a fair stereotype at all, but it exists. A NASCAR driver casually dropping the N-bomb on a gaming session for no real reason sure is going to reinforce that stereotype. Thus NASCAR's going to act hard to show that this negative stereotype absolutely is not what they stand for.

That's because a NASCAR driver's future is dependent on his sponsors sticking around. In other sports, as long as the series pardons the participant, he can compete. NASCAR and Ganassi put him on suspension probably so they can reinstate him down the road, but with Kyle's sponsors like CreditOne, McD, etc. all dropping him like a hot potato, his future in NASCAR looks bleak.

However, his dirt sponsor is sticking with him.

Good on them. I too don't believe one mistake should end a man's career and livelihood but that's what the pitchfork-wielding Twitterati want. They just want to see someone ruined.

The tweet is a bit too merry! But that's probably because they used exclamation marks! Everything you say seems enthusiastic, even sentences that shouldn't be!

What was the mistake? He said the wrong word or he got caught saying it?

I've never accidentally dropped the N word before. That's the problem here.

That's exactly it isn't it? He didn't accidentally say it. He was just stupid enough not to realise that the whole world was there to listen to him say an extremely offensive racist word.

NASCAR has cut down the field to 26 cars due to "racing quality concerns" for this weekend's race at Richmond

Of those not on the entry list, that has competed in previous events (not counting any suspended members):
Dale Earnhardt Jr. - (who was in the original DWC field)
Bobby Labonte
Michael McDowell
Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Landon Cassill - (also has tons of iRacing experience since the service launched)
Daniel Suarez
Greg Biffle
--- (NXS/Truck/ARCA/Pintys/Mexico drivers that were forced out & told to run on Saturday instead)
Ruben Garcia Jr.
Justin Allgaier
Austin Cindric
Ty Majeski - (holds highest iRating on asphalt oval)
Alex Labbe
Ryan Truex
Chase Briscoe
Anthony Alfredo

Michael McDowell has voiced his displeasure

You know, I would clown McDowell and his 44 incidents (the highest in that Bristol debacle), but he kinda does have a point.

Jr saying he stepped back to allow for more Cup full timers (Kligerman is the only non-full time Cup driver entered)

At least run 30 cars. Richmond's not quite like Bristol.

If nothing else, NASCAR has always shown an ability to make up stupid ass rules on the fly that go against all logic and common sense to shoot itself in the foot. What next, are they going to implement the 1991 pit rules?

This one makes sense though. Reducing the field size always helps clean up the racing, especially a calculated removal of those causing the most incidents in past or with the least experience (in this case sim-racing experience not real life).

so Jr was invited, but he pulled out in response of others (like Landon & McDowell for example) not being able to race
