Finished watching the race this early morning. What a surprising good race. After Vegas early in the year being maybe the worst race of the decade....
All this time with the new package wasn't wasted. The teams upped their game and closed down the competition. Just a real shame that Fox cut to commercials when the racing was so good early in the run just to have them all spread out when they were back on the first two restarts. Nice to see a GWC with different strategies. Nice to see Logano winning, Ryan doing such an amazing run, a messed up pit-stop with the dominating car failing wtf?!?!
And lol, I forgot to change my picks from Daytona, and though I was doomed with Dibenedetto, Stenhouse, A Dillon, only for them to finish 2nd, 3rd and 4th
Stage racing and this package still shouldn't exist, but at least it's not that bad anymore. Great time to follow the new generation, not only all the rookies and one-offs like Chastain, but Elliot, Byron, Bowman and Blaney, Dibenedetto and who else getting up there is fun.
Now to the other track that was the candidate for worst race of the decade last year. Let's see how much they will improve at Fontana, NO WAY it can be as bad as last year.
Ah, almost forgot, two races in a row that I couldn't watch live and didn't get the winner spoiled. Last year besides the 500 and one other that I saw live, only got to watch a torrent with no spoilers by the second Michigan race, round 23. Which made me not even download to watch a lot of races up to that point.
