Says 4th as he crossed the line, did it get auto-corrected later? :?

Would still like to know the actual extent of the injuries from the doctors.

I can easily believe his transponder was the 4th over the line, it just wasn't attached to the car at the time.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

JJ said on Twitter “I’m so thankful he is OK”.

He must be well informed

I was honestly expecting that fluid to catch light. It had to be fuel, can't think what other fluid would have been leaking from there like that.

I found the answer. They use a dry-sump oil system and they had the tank near the rear of the car. That's why that stuff was mud-colored and didn't ignite.
If that was fuel, that wreck would have been an inferno.

The Wednesday update on Ryan Newman, and it's fantastic news:

Holy shit, he looks totally fine. Maybe he just had a wicked concussion and wasn’t staying conscious in the moments after the wreck.

That, that is really unbelievable. Considering what I thought not 72 hours ago, I am astounded.

There was a twitter post allegedly from his father I saw earlier that would indeed indicate something along the lines of a severe concussion, so speculation along those lines is quite possible.

Regardless, amazing news.

I'm so excited and relieved right now you guys! I can't wait for an interview. Still needs time to heal I'd imagine.

I'm just confused about what that "serious" injury was now. But this is the best way to be confused if I have ever seen one. Like I used to say on my profile after the 2008 Daytona 500... Way to go Newman!!!
