Martinsville Speedway hosts their annual October race weekend, featuring the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in the First Data 500 on Sunday and the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in the NASCAR Hall of Fame 200 on Saturday. This is the last of the 2-series weekend format for the near-future at Martinsville, as it grows next season with the return of the NASCAR XFINITY Series next fall. Weather is looking iffy presently - hopefully the racing won't be affected. Truck race features some one-off entries, including past NHRA Pro Stock champion Tanner Gray & Modified ace Danny Bohn

Meanwhile for the NASCAR regional & international tours: Kern County hosts a doubleheader featuring NASCAR's K&N Pro Series West and the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour. Discussion of that event will be in the NASCAR Regional thread.

looks like the Cup race will get in, pretty nice weather here just a hour & a half south of the track - only a minor delay currently from track drying according to the track itself

Well look how Kyle raced Almirola today. I can’t imagine anyone working for someone who gets all butthurt and junks 6 cars because he got passed 150 laps from the end of the race.
