I got Erik Jones.

I feel like... with everyone hyping up so much how crazy this race is going to be, the drivers are going to end up going super conservative and it'll be boring as shit.

I got Austin Dillon this week. This race could be a total crapshoot, so I'm not ruling anything out.

I wish I didn't have to work long shifts at work this weekend.

Johnny Davis is a boss. The age of road course ringers in Nascar is dead, but fielding Legge again and bringing back Aschenbach? HELL YES. I expect them both to have solid runs, top 15-20, until like

Someone's totally gonna get a nudge late in the race, lose the lead, and then straightline the backstretch chicane on the last lap and blast the leader to get revenge.

It's what NASCAR 2018 is.

It's what NASCAR 2018 is.

and if they miss the backstraight chicane they will just full throttle the frontstraight chicane & crash into the turn 1 wall firewall deep

Yes, it would take way too much time to convert the track to oval configuration

The Nascar website only says Charlotte roval for the Cup schedule, great, I wanna see this soo much now, both races. My most hyped race of the year in any form of motorsport.

That will be a success in NASCAR's book. They need wrecks and fights.

It could be the most shit race ever and they'll still call it a success because NASCAR is only ever successful, it never fails >.<

Aren't they not allowed to race in Xfinity playoffs?

Yeah it's playoffs, they're not allowed.

As I said in the other thread, having built and driven this layout in NR, these races will probably be crap, there could be some big wrex, but that will be about it, there are zero overtaking spots, and because the media has hyped this race up, viewership expectations are so high that even the most pessamistic miserable bugger is going to be let down.

Well, this isn't F1/IndyCar and it isn't a downforce track for these cars. So, I don't think heavy braking zones are as crucial for overtaking. Drivers who are quick will surely be able to find opportunities to make moves. Right?

it feels a bit like watkins glen from the onboards - flow-ey and fast. not every race at the glen is great, but it has put out some gems; giving me hope that the roval will at least be entertaining.

seriously just glad that they added a non-oval to the chase
