NASCAR's annual throwback themed event, which features one of it's crown jewel events, the Southern 500 is this weekend at Darlington for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, with the NASCAR XFINITY Series in support. ARCA will be racing on Labor Day at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds for their second dirt mile race. DIRTcar UMP Modifieds be supporting the ARCA portion of the event on Monday, among the entrants in that race include Tony Stewart & Ken Schrader. USAC Silver Crown Champ Cars will race on Sunday night under the lights for their 3rd dirt mile race of the year. Meanwhile on the short track side of things: Oswego's big show is this weekend with the Budweiser International Classic for the Novelis Supermodifieds, also racing during the weekend includes the ISMA Winged Supermodifieds, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, the Small Block Supers & the SMAC 350c.i. Winged Supermodifieds. Canada's Jukasa Motor Speedway (formerly Cayuga) will be hosting the Canadian Short Track Nationals which features a $50k (CDN) to win Pro Late Model event, and a race for the APC Late Model Tour. Winchester is back in action for the World Stock Car Festival featuring the ARCA/CRA Super Late Models. Super DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds will be racing at Weedsport.
