Got Joey Logano in the Random Fantasy Game. Much better than BJ McLeod, who I had at Michigan.

Bonsignore is on pole tonight for the Modified race. Average speed was 128.98MPH (2.4MPH off from last year and 4MPH off from 2016 / all time track record for Mods)

-

to think this used to be a race on my bucketlist, and now I'm not even disappointed by the rumors of being the last one at Bristol.

No live coverage anywhere, either video or track PA. Radio group that did the race a couple years back doesn't exist now I think. NASCAR did a trial run for the NBCSN races on FansChoice at New Smyrna but it didn't meet their criteria I guess.

Modified race spoiler (just after halfway)
Spoiler:
Bonsignore currently leads after running 3rd to Emerling & Solomito most of the race. Both Emerling & Solomito have spun out, up to 4 cautions so far. Apparently the race has been better than the last couple years with the outside groove working some, but not sure if that was just lap traffic (?_

Unclear if the VHT is worn off from more on-track activity, or if it's because of the restrictor plate / high downforce package (............... :yuk: )

Modified race spoiler (race just finished)
Spoiler:
Bonsignore won with Dowling in second and Summers in third. Sounds like Bonsignore pulled away from Dowling after getting through lap traffic. One of the videos on social media showed mostly everyone running the bottom when not in traffic

Not sure what race they were watching. Modified race sucked. Truck race sucked as well.

sounds like "their" plan of the last minute change to restrictor plates and bigger rear spoiler didn't help one bit

couldn't care less if this race is back next year, they ruined it

I've been following the truck and NXS on NASCAR's Youtube and other than winner crossing the line in each race, there's been no other action clip. Guess it's really been as dull as this thread says.

There, that's more accurate, then they can rebuild it to the original specs.

I watched bits and pieces of the race last night while working on a model car. The field got REALLY REALLY spread out all night long. The leader had a 4 second lead pretty much all the time. Driving through lapped traffic however was intense. They'd come up on a pack of slower cars and it would get absolutely insane. Larson almost wrecked a couple times trying to hold onto the lead navigating 3 wide through lapped traffic. Then once they cleared the lapped traffic, it went right back to spread out boringness. That would be fine if they were in lapped traffic all the time, but it seemed like the lapped traffic even somehow was spread out and rare.

Yeah that’s been a bit of a saving grace for modern Bristol. The lapped traffic is wild as hell.
