To me, NBC has always had a more professional broadcast. If they could replace Rick Allen with Allen Bestwick it would be even better. This sport just needs to rid itself of Brian France.

Rick Allen's been pretty bad lately, but he used to not be so annoying. I think his annoying tendencies are being driven by the guidance from the producers, which overall ties back to the biggest issue with NBC's NASCAR coverage -- it's all about the "storylines" and "drama." They're constantly trying to force things instead of being organic . I'd rather have them show a little more willingness to let the race play out and have fun in the booth and make it feel like watching a race with friends, like their IndyCar coverage (which is phenomenal). As far as FOX goes, the Waltrips really annoy me, and I'm still not really loving Jeff Gordon in the booth, but Mike Joy is a goddamn national treasure.

Kaz Grala drove the shitbox 61 to a 10th place finish. Good for him.

Jones kinda saved Logano (and Johnson, by proxy) by spinning him out.

I really had no intention of watching this but the bits and pieces I’ve seen so far have been decent. Makes the All-Star package even more of an embarrassing venture.

Not sure why the racing has been decent, because these cars suck in their own way but today, for whatever reason, they seem to be able to run together without the usual aero push death.

It was very hot at Indy, I wonder if this is the case here?

I think they mentioned at some point during the broadcast they put down grip compound on the track to create multiple grooves. Whatever they did has worked. Yes Kyle Busch has dominated, but behind him this race has been damn good. Best Charlotte race in a decade.

This has not been an exciting race up front, at all.

The second I posted about it being a good race, everything stopped happening and it got boring as shit. Whoops. As much as I hate Kyle Busch he deserved that one. Embarrassed the rest of the field.

You look forward to motorsport christmas all year, then all 3 races end up being underwhelming

Oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes

See you next year

Worst thing is having to read people now praising the RP pack.

Yeah, I glanced at the NASCAR subreddit last week after the All-Star race and it was mind-boggling to see so many posters fawning over it.
