inb4 single file against the wall for 185 laps, then caution for debris up against the inside wall on the back stretch to get Dale Jr back in the lead draft, then a massive wreck after the overtime line and no caution and Dale Jr ARCA Brakes for the win

Seriously though, I expect caution drama on the last lap, certainly in the Xfinity race

Crap. Weather forecast is clear except for Friday, so no chance of the chaotic Spring race from last year where everyone had to try to stay up front due to weather threatening. Maybe the stage racing will keep it somewhat racy instead of the Dale Jr. pied piper shit.

The plate races are the only races where the 'stage' format actually makes a difference. It should stop everyone from running single file in the middle parts of the race.

That being said, I still hate the format, and it annoys me having to hear Jeff Gordon tell me how great it makes the racing every week.

Reminder that this is the last plate race we will ever see with old-school stock cars. I would love it if ARCA put on a hell of a show to send them out in style.

Seeing what time the race starts...it'll get dark before they can finish properly. Have the organizers forgotten that Talladega doesn't have lights, or how ARCA plate races tend to play out...?
