Driving a car without a helmet is worse then other things he has gotten in trouble for. |

I didn't understand how driving his car without a helmet on was any different than a driver taking his helmet off on the cool down lap.... Or Johnson hitching a ride with Jr after the race. The media really likes to dig for something. |

That tire was probably only moments away from shredding apart. Even at a lower speed he probably would have taken a bit of a lashing. |

I was looking at pics from the 2013 car tire test at Texas... http://www.jayski.com/news/schemes/stor ... ers-Images I thought the small spoiler they tested at Talladega last week was just a plate thing. Wrong! Quote: "Moving into 2013 we've worked hand in hand with Goodyear and their engineers to get a plan together to build tires specifically for this new race car and optimize the grip," said Robin Pemberton, NASCAR vice president of competition. "We have built this car with the mindset that we are going after more of a mechanical grip and reduce some of the aero dependencies of the car for 2013. & This test at Texas is actually our very first test with multiple cars with the new aero package." Also I noticed none of the cars have visible shark fins. Maybe they're leaning toward going with the clear lexan shark fins we saw on the Fords in testing at Talladega? I would be quite happy with that from a purely aesthetic standpoint! |

They opened up TMS for the ride-along cars right after tire testing. And then this happened:   5 cars involved. Nobody hurt.  And for no reason at all, TMS decided to cover up the incident on their Facebook page. |
