I've been to the Wheels a couple times for modified shows but never for the sprints, it's a pretty cool track, ultimately I didn't go tonight because I felt ill after work today. I've seen a couple ASCoC shows, once at Can-Am and once at Mohawk a couple years ago, ridiculously fast at Can-Am because it rained and the track was super tacky. Mohawk was just plain scary to watch, it was awesome but I felt like any second a car was going to vault into the grandstands, also went to Williams Grove last year which is something everybody should do at least once, very cool place.

That's how I feel anytime the NEMA guys are at our track...I hate them.

Those little bastards FLY around Waterford. The catchfence at your place does not instill me with confidence when we go down there for the ISMA/NEMA/MRS show in August.

Which is exactly why I absolutely hate seeing them, haha. I feel like one wrong move and one will be in the stands easy.

You really have to go back to Malta. I hadn't been there in 20 years (with it dirt anyway) and we went Friday night. One of the best run shows I've been to in some time. Heats started at 7PM sharp and the Modified feature was done at 9:30 when we left (still had two Sportsman races left, but there was a TON of lightening around.)

The stars have aligned and I can actually make it to Malta tonight.

Sad picture of the day. Mother Nature wasn't kind to Hickory Motor Speedway this week.

Oh I'm down to see the World Series with y'all. Woodski and I will be there both nights. Saturday night at the World Series is an absolute highlight with all the mod tour drivers getting hammered and going in every victory lane as a salute to John Blewett III.

Nice. We'll be at Waterford on the 10th for the ISMA show. Hadn't planned on going to the World Series, but that can change. Would head out for the Sunday part of the show.

BGS showing us once again how great it is.

We had a woman die of a heart attack in the stands Saturday night...she was one of the street stock drivers mothers, he was leading his heat race when it happened.

Oh, and my buddy Joe managed to roll his ministock.

Don't know how many people kept tabs with the Peak Stock Car Dream Challenge. Basically it was a development driver search for MWR. One of the local late model drivers, Patrick Staropoli won and should be making his debut in the K&N West Series race in Spokane August 24th.

That was awesome, I didn't even know he got selected until someone posted it on Facebook this morning.

Staropoli finished 5th in his debut race. Michael Waltrip finished 11th.

That's pretty cool. This ride that he won, is for how long?

I can't find anything about a contract, he is driving for Bill McAnally, but it's possible that it's on a race to race basis. This could have been an "audition" race, so to speak.

Yea, it wouldn't surprise me if it was a one race deal only to start with and following evaluation, more added on, like you said. If so, then it looks like he should be good for a few more races atleast after a top-5 on debut.

Went and watched the Lucas Oil Late Model Series Thursday night at Volunteer Speedway. Got to see a flip in the A-main by Don O'Neil, and Trevor Bayne flat out dumped. Best racing I saw all weekend I thought.
