Still hoping Winchester is on the schedule next year. That would complete it for me. Salem, IRP, Nashville, Winchester, Toledo and Du Quoin? Hell yeah. |

Over a month late, but here are a few pics from the ARCA Truck Series Season Finale held at Lake County Speedway on October 19th, my last race with the series. Spoiler: As previously mentioned, LC was my last race for the series, I honestly felt like the traveling I did just wasn't worth it anymore, even with my expenses paid. I also got tired of getting grief for working a 10-12 hour shift at my regular job and then driving 5-6 hours to make it to the race. It was mostly along the lines of "oh, how 'bad' was your drive up here this time, I know you have such a long way to go." I know they were joking but it got old fast, with most of them having a 2-3 hour drive to any of the tracks at the most. You know it's time to quit when you're a racefan at a racetrack, but you'd rather be anywhere else. I was that way at Lake County. I did the awards banquet the weekend before last as well, and I wasn't happy with the pictures from there(I don't think they were either), but what can you expect when you want people to stand in front of a projection screen in front of a poorly lit ballroom? There's one other issue I won't mention that hasn't been taken care of, but I'm not worried about it. I enjoyed getting to know some of the people who raced in the series, and I'll miss the few I talked to each week we were at a track. Sorry to rant and bitch, but I had to do it somewhere, and doing it anywhere else I post ARCA stuff regular would cause a shitstorm I don't wanna deal with. As far as next year goes, I'll still be doing the ARCA Racing (the cars) stuff, along with the stats/race results I've been working on for them. I don't get paid for it, but it doesn't suck the fun out of everything at least. |

I'm glad you're not going to let it keep you feeling miserable. Racing is supposed to be fun. But at least you'll be able to say you were the official photographer for a traveling auto racing series, so that's pretty damn cool. And yes, that ARCA short track schedule is real racin as fuck. |

That schedule looks awesome! I'm hoping to be in a car at Pocono, Chicagoland, Iowa and Kentucky. Just need a little more funding. |

I guess this explains why Alex Malycke withdrew before all of the ARCA races he entered this year. http://www.racerap.com/index.php/topnews/click_news/14828 I'm trying to figure out why he was still filing entries for races even though he was behind bars. |

Sad, but not surprising. I've seen several people claim they're going to run ARCA races in the past but nothing ever comes of it. There was a guy from England who was going to run several races 5-6 years ago and then vanished into thin air when people called him on his bullshit. As far as deals go, I'll believe a driver/team deal when I see it at the track. |
