Travis Braden would have won if it was a NASCAR sanctioned race.

So, the guy that goes for revenge wasn't even the one who was spun out in this incident. Makes exactly as much sense as the very existence of racing in that shithole.

You're right. Still doesn't justify the retaliation, tho. Then again, Bowman Gray sucks.

As a fan I could see why you'd want to go to there but if I were a driver idk why anyone would want to race there

Wow. Maybe I will end up buying a ticket to Lebanon Valley this Sunday.

Also, perfect timing after the "Steve Kinser is an asshole" thing.

Did you go? I was at Fonda on Thursday for the ASCC race (with Tony) and the Valley Sunday night for the Outlaws (also with Tony). Both safe races.

HUGE crowd at Lebanon Valley. 50/50 winner took home more money that Donny Schatz did for winning the race. Most people I've seen there in quite some time.

No I didn't make it. Ended up having to work a 12 hour day on Saturday and was just too beat to do anything on Sunday. I haven't been to the Valley in 2 summers. I used to live 15 minutes from it. Now I live 15 minutes from Albany Saratoga but have only been back there once since they resurfaced it. I've failed pretty hard at supporting my local tracks as of late.

Who won at Fonda?

What was the 50/50, I heard it was over $10,000. I always wondered how much of a jackpot you could get at a Cup race if they ever did a 50/50.

Thinking about going to Rolling Wheels Tuesday because I've never seen a WoO show, but the forecast doesn't look good. I might hit the Valley this Saturday, haven't been there yet this year. Made it to Albany-Saratoga earlier this year and had a good time, until the lights went out midway through the Street Stock feature, amazingly everyone completed another half lap in pitch black darkness and came to a safe stop, lol.

On the bright side, that one fat guy's disproving the claim that "racing drivers aren't athletes" by running clear across the entire race track.

Not all idiot drivers come from Bowman Gray:
Quote:
Here's a story we hear all too often: a guy was arrested for driving drunk. But here's a twist: he was driving in a race at the time.

Leslie Charles Hunter, 64, of San Jose, Calif. was arrested Friday night on suspicion of driving under the influence at the Watsonville (Calif.) Ocean Speedway. The suspicion came because he was, in the interpretation of the other drivers, racing like a fool. Other drivers had complained that Hunter was recklessly forcing them to the side of the track, and Santa Cruz County police stepped in to investigate.

They found Hunter in the pits, and arrested him on suspicion of DUI and driving with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent.

Fortunately, there were no injuries. And we don't normally joke about drunk driving, but boy, you've got to be monumentally stupid to race drunk, right? Leave that impairment for the people watching, pal.

Danny Dietrich.

You really have to go back to Malta. I hadn't been there in 20 years (with it dirt anyway) and we went Friday night. One of the best run shows I've been to in some time. Heats started at 7PM sharp and the Modified feature was done at 9:30 when we left (still had two Sportsman races left, but there was a TON of lightening around.)

50/50 Sunday night was $10,059 and headed back to NH in Freihoffers hot dog bun bags. Seriously, that's how they give you the money. Friend of mine won $1500 there last year and he left with about 10 bags of $1's, $5's and $10's.

Go to Rolling Wheels if you can. I will warn you that the racing won't be that great as The Wheels is a true 5/8 mile and is FAST. Fast tracks don't provide good racing for winged 410's. But, I would say go anyway because if you haven't seen 410 winged sprints before then you really need to take them in at least once.

We're going to SDW Thurs-Sun this year and getting a hotel (all ready got one actually) so we're probably hitting the WoO boys up at The Wheels when they're back in town in October.

I've been to the Wheels a couple times for modified shows but never for the sprints, it's a pretty cool track, ultimately I didn't go tonight because I felt ill after work today. I've seen a couple ASCoC shows, once at Can-Am and once at Mohawk a couple years ago, ridiculously fast at Can-Am because it rained and the track was super tacky. Mohawk was just plain scary to watch, it was awesome but I felt like any second a car was going to vault into the grandstands, also went to Williams Grove last year which is something everybody should do at least once, very cool place.

That's how I feel anytime the NEMA guys are at our track...I hate them.

Those little bastards FLY around Waterford. The catchfence at your place does not instill me with confidence when we go down there for the ISMA/NEMA/MRS show in August.

Seeing NEMA at Thompson is terrifying and unfortunately my fears were confirmed 5 years ago when Shane Hammond was killed at the icebreaker.
