Or at least paint it black. I don't know why anyone thinks it looks better painted with the car.

Black would be a gigantic improvement, yes.

Michael Annett finds a new ride in the Nationwide Series.

I figured he would land somewhere because he's bringing a sponsor with him but I didn't expect this.

I just wonder why Rusty didn't keep the doors open running just one car for Annett since he carries around this Pilot/FlyingJ funding in his back pocket. Maybe he didn't want to run the team if Steve wasn't able to race for him?

Anyways, great to see a team like Petty with a fulltime NW team. I wonder if anyone will put Steve Wallace in their car this year?

I was surprised that Rusty shut his team down even though he had a sponsor and a driver in place for one of his cars.

I'm glad that Michael Annett was able to land with a team that should be very competitive. It also gives the Ford fans a team to root for other than Roush-Fenway that can compete for top 10's on a consistant basis.

Guess I'll be a fan of the #78 now:

A railroad is the last thing I'd expect to see sponsor a race car.

I guess he simply wasn't in it to be a team owner as much as wanting to get Steven's career launched. He probably brought on the second car out of necessity than desire.

Yeah...as soon as the Atlanta Incident happened, and made worse at Gateway, I knew that the drivers can't police themselves at the track. NASCAR should have gave then what is acceptable and what isn't for "Boys, have at it" to work, but they left it a giant-as-fuck gray area when Ear punted Kes in Atlanta and NASCAR didn't do anything about it.

Announcing 'boys have at it' to the world (instead of just letting the drivers know about it) was a bad idea from the start. It made them have to stick to their word and do nothing even when the line was crossed far too many times before Kyle broke the camel's back.

NASCAR should do a exhibition race in Europe (Lauzitz), like they did in Motegi and Suzuka.

That'd be interesting, but they'd have a helluva time trying to fit it into a schedule with 38 race weekends.

They can't race anymore on the oval, it's not homologated anymore. Plus they stopped maintaining it so it wouldn't be suitable to drive on anyway.

If they could arrange for Steven Wallace or JWT to run down all the NIMBYs they might have a shot.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

*grumbles about Premiere TV getting Nascar for 2012 again*

I hope the 500 is free-to-air.

Amazing how much for granted we take having NASCAR on a channel that's a part of our basic cable package... :(
