Even DEGA will be subdued with the top line fest for the Cup. Hopefully the Trucks have their usual lols.

There is Martinsville to provide entertainment hopefully.

I had a surprise party thrown for me yesterday. I did not see one lap. Looks like I didn't miss a thing.

Regarding the debris caution for that spring rubber laying on the apron in between turns 3 and 4.

I know, they never used to throw debris cautions for everything - if you hit something on the track, that was just bad luck; if it's on the apron and you still hit it, well that's just your destiny. haha

Two things, though...

We're not in the same era we were in 15-20 years ago. We had shit breaking glass windshields like a shotgun had gone off, so they came up with the lexan windshields they still use. It's been a tremendous asset for the sport, and it has been quite the safety innovation. When Bobby Labonte had a piece of debris fly into his car one year (I think it was at Atlanta), narrowly missing his head and taking out a chunk of the roll bar inside the car, THEN what do you do? The window netting would only do so much if they were to extend it all the way across the window... soooo the only thing to do is be vigilant when it comes to debris.

That's it. It sucks, but it's the way it goes.

Secondly, the debris was in a spot cars had been going all day long. Not the leaders, mind you, but I saw some of the back-markers get onto the apron a bit ridiculously early. Wouldn't that have been awesome - Joe Nemechek, running 43rd, trying hard as hell to stay out of the way, running over a spring rubber in the process, taking out who knows who.

Just my two cents.

Decent race, I thought. Jimmie's just too good. *shrugs*

I watched the whole thing in fast forward. I don't think there was any moment when I started playing it in real time. It was that bad.
