Yeaa because I think he knows by then there's definitely no chance to get into the chase and he'll need the surgery, so get that done sooner and recover better for 2014.

Big 180 by him. Had that feel like its a big possibility.

From what I was reading yesterday, I think the surgery would be just for his normal back troubles, not the fracture. He said that he's pretty much never 100% because of that nagging issue. So I think if this fracture keeps him out just long enough, he'll see it as a chance to just go ahead and address his other issue since his season is shot.

I also think he'll still be back before the end of the season after the surgery. There's enough time for him to recover and then get a few races under his belt before next season.
