Annett spun around and didn't hit anything for the second time today. Caution out.

Allgaier gets into Reed Sorenson, sending him into the wall with Trevor Bayne. Decent damage to both, including Reed's rear bumper flying off.

Spotter: "Careful with debris - shit flying off that thing."

Reid: "Whoops, we apologize for that folks!"

Sorenson vows to find Allgaier after the race. Have to say, the tale of the tape's going to favor Reed on that one.

If it's going to be Busch and Edwards finishing in the top two, I hope they at least fight it out for the win.

Eh.

At least it wasn't Busch.

The early/middle portion of the race was pretty awesome with all the different guys fighting and swapping the lead. Too bad it sort of died out as the second half progressed.

Anyone else catch Carl bang his head on the gate as he exited the stands?

I'd be willing to say they aren't gonna be able to race tonight.

Go ahead and say it. 70 percent chance of rain today, 90 percent tonight...

The area needs rain, but couldn't it have come earlier?

Very competitive Nationwide race, 20th place 5 laps down.

Looks like a Tuesday Cup race... :-(

And even Tuesday's questionable.

As long as it's later than 7 ET, I'm OK with it. The only way I could watch is after work.

They've moved the start up by 20min thinking that will help with something.

I hate to sound like a big scared baby but the safest thing to do is just call it now and let those fans and teams get out of there before it pours down 12 inches of rain in 3 hours. Go ahead and try to schedule it for Tuesday at noon or something since Monday is a complete write off. Why wait around and put everybody in the middle of that mess?

Helluva time to have the remnants of a tropical storm come in.

Maybe they're doing the right thing. There's a chance they might get it in.

So far so good: http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/generic/vid ... way-webcam

Statement from track manager:

"I just stepped out of a meeting with the National Weather Service and wanted to give you all an update. Our contact there has told us we will have some light rain today, but the heavy rains should stay to the west of us.

The pre-race festivities have been moved up a bit in order to have the green flag fly promptly at 7:30 p.m. It appears we have a good opportunity to get the race in tonight and our track services staff will do everything possible to maximize that opportunity. So come out, enjoy the cooler temperatures and light breeze while you take in all the sponsor displays and activity all around the track"
