There's just not enough room for a tyre inside a tyre like before with these new bigger wheels to acomodate the brakes for road courses. |

I would assume the lower ride heights, shorter sidewalls, lack of inner liners, diffusers, and skid blocks all combine to create the problem. |

And I will say that it's frustrating that they get stuck with flat tires, BUT I am so far pretty happy with the Next Gen car otherwise. It's great seeing the drivers actually having to really fight the cars again, and the racing today has been a lot of fun. This is reminding me a lot of the early 2000s type of racing. |
