Sad, too, because I rather see someone like Jennifer Jo Cobb getting a JR Motorsports ride over Danica. Yes, JJC.

Well, yeah. JJC is definitely much, much hotter than Danica is. That's all that matters though, isn't it? *shrugs*

Patrick has arguably the best equipment and financial support any female driver has ever been given in motorsports today, if not ever. The managing of Indycar and NASCAR commitments may be the only excuse she's had of not doing so great on the NASCAR circuit (Daytona in July being a surprising exception). But with all focus on NASCAR, if she drops the ball with the opportunities she's been given, we probably won't be seeing other females getting that much of a chance for a long time.

Unless Snooki or one of the Kardashian girls go to NASCAR. Then we're royally fucked.

Looks like they've redone the Toyota N'Wide decals as well.

Robby Gordon will not give up #7 for Danica: Robby Gordon says he won't give Danica Patrick the #7 when she enters the Sprint Cup series part-time next season. "C'mon!'' Gordon said on Friday at Bristol Motor Speedway. "Why would I?'' Patrick said on Thursday, when officially announcing plans to leave the IndyCar Series to drive a fulltime Nationwide Series schedule for JR Motorsports and part-time Cup schedule for Stewart Haas Racing in 2012, that she'd like to keep the #7 that she's had throughout her motorsports career. Gordon, who has had the number for six years in Cup, isn't willing to bargain. "'I've built my business around the # 7,'' Gordon said. "It's all fun and games, but I think she should be proud to drive the #77.'' The 77 could be available. It hasn't been used for a full Cup schedule since Sam Hornish Jr. lost his ride at Penske Racing after the 2010 season.(ESPN)(8-27-2011)

Well, why should he give her the number? Even if she's a girl, she doesn't/shouldn't get special treatment.

She hasn't had 7 all of her career, anyway. She had 16 in 05 and 06.

Seems like the media's making more of a story than it really is.

Robby might want to keep it, or he might just be driving up the asking price for it.

Heck, save for not getting along with Tony Stewart, he could sell the team (number, owner points and equipment) to SHR for a pretty penny to run his other stuff...

That's an immense insult to motorsports in general.

Would it be so wrong to hope she falls out of the flagstand?

I don't think it would be too wrong.

That's where it should be acceptable to throw a full can of beer. If it beans Snooki, you get the celebrity treatment at whatever race you go to from here on out.

Nope, not wrong at all.
