Thank goodness the Myers don't race in Cup.

They'd probably beat the living fuck out of the Busch brothers and get their licenses revoked in no time.

Either that, or Carl Edwards would try to make an attempt on a Myers' life.

burt raced at our track one night back in 2010, when the tour was running thompson.

that race lasted two hours and only ran 12 laps.

fuck them.

that whole situation would have never happened up here, he would have been park the instant he started "waiting" for the other car.

that and they wouldn't have had an impromptu demo derby in the infield, they would have gotten out and had a proper fistfight.

Bowman Gray is trash. Simple as that. You don't see many other tracks condoning that kind of behavior, do you?

The complete bullshit is why I wanna go to bowman grey at some point in my life so I can sit up top in the grandstands and laugh at everyone.

Does Bowman Gray run under NASCAR sanction?

And yes, my local asphalt track runs under ASA sanctions, and they do allow extracurricular activities. Matter of fact a female driver attacked a male driver first race this year. LOL

The postponed round at Auburndale Speedway for the FUPS is being run tonight. It's raining as of right now but it's supposed to be clear enough for them to run by early afternoon.

Had another serious accident tonight at Auburndale. This happened during Legends qualifying. I had just gotten to the track and was outside waiting to buy my ticket when I heard a thud followed by his engine quitting. Keith Sinkula slammed into the turn 1 wall at near full speed, flipping the car up on it's side momentarily. He was trapped in the car for probably 20 minutes while track EMS crews stabilized him and fire rescue arrived on scene. There hasn't been an official release about his condition but I heard that he had a broken leg.

The late model race got off to a rocky start. Took them three attempts to even get it started. Steve Dorer started on pole and led all 100 laps to win.

Late Model Qualifying

All of the minor spins and incidents that I caught

The final 5 laps of the Legends feature (complete with the leaders taking each other out in the final turn)

The three attempts to get the Late Model race underway

And highlights from all other classes.

Bad night at the Missouri State Fair last night.

This is from KCTV5 in Kansas City, MO

Quote:
SEDALIA, MO (KCTV) -
Separate crashes at Missouri State Fair Sunday night injured several people, including bystanders, authorities said.

At least five people were injured just after 9 p.m. during the Battle of the Badges charity race, which involved old police cars.

An off-duty police officer lost control of a personally owned race car and struck five people in the infield of the track.

A 34-year-old woman from California, MO, and a 57-year-old Columbia, MO, man were seriously injured. A 27-year-old woman was injured and taken to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia and is expected to recover. Two others were treated and released at the scene.

Arch Simpson was at the race with one of the people who was sent to the hospital with a leg injury. He saw the car as it came towards them.

"I seen the car coming. And I hollered at another friend of mine that was standing there beside him." said Simpson.

He told his friend to duck because a car was headed right towards him through the guard rail.

"So we hit the ground, me and him both. Pretty scary. I had been going to races for 35 years, and I have never seen anything like that one," he said.

The officers were driving personally owned race cars for a fundraiser called "Battle of the Badges." The event raises funds for Special Olympics.

A second separate crash that happened about 8:15 p.m. sent a 15-year-old race-car driver from Carrolton, MO, after he lost control of his vehicle, which overturned several times.

He was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

The 15 year old was driving a winged sprint car. Appearently he has head and neck injuries.

Hey Sherman, how much do you know about Legends? We just had our first Legends race here at Showtime Speedway and it seems like a really fun series, I might look into buying one from up in NC. How is the turnout at Auburndale?

A couple Adale drivers were up at Showtime running that. Compared to other series, they usually have the best turnout. I'd say they average anywhere between 12-18 cars on a normal night.

Sad when your best turnout is 12-18 cars.

Also, what do you want to know about them? My cousins ran them a few years ago and dominated up at our local track, I kinda know my way around them, lmao.
