Why have you decided to fuck up the Canadian Tire Series so badly?

I'm probably not in the loop here, please elaborate.

Shitty scheduling (this year was the first year since 2007 they scheduled on a long weekend), and changing rules/costs and cutting purses to where any oval field is shit. The only races that are decent are the road courses, and those guys don't have to show up to the oval races since the cherry-picking rule got scrapped.

I'm also going to be running a car this weekend. My first Pro Late Model race at New Smyrna a couple of months ago got rained out so this will effectively be my first race. Running the #136 for Tim Russell this time, again at New Smyrna Speedway for another 100 lapper.

Thanks Gael! For those that didn't see, I ended up finishing 4th after starting 6th in a 17 car field. Pretty happy with that considering I haven't raced anything since the end of 2008. I'll post some GoPro footage soon, but unfortunately the camera overheated with 7 laps to go just before the final restart.

Just a reminder, this Saturday night at The Oswego Speedway is the 4th Annual King Of Wings race. Looks like about 30 winged supers will be in attendance going for the money and the prestige. Also in attendance will be the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprintcars. Yes, the same two class of cars that duked it out for the overall track record at Bristol will be racing at the fast 5/8 mile this Saturday night. Gates open at 2PM and the racing starts at 5PM.

Bought a $30 pit pass at Auburndale Speedway in Florida, about one hour from where I live. Talked to some South East Champ Kart owners to see if there was any way I could buy some go-carts and possibly race in the series.

Dang, if I wasn't working that night we could have met up, since I live 5 minutes from the track.

Speaking of Auburndale.

don't forget the Bryan Storer 115 @ A-Dale this Sat. nite. $4,000 to win, $600.00 to start. No other tracks running SLM, car count expected 25-30. Have had calls from teams that we have not seen all year. Don't miss it!

First late model race this year barely had 20 cars. I haven't seen a 30 car field down there in anything in years. It'll probably be a wreck fest and end in some controversy but I still plan to be there, work schedule pending.

Guess so, since they still hadn't released Oran Park yet.

In a world of tracks closing and being demolished, the old Sunshine Speedway, which closed down in 2004, now Showtime Speedway in St. Petersburg, FL had it's official grand re-opening last night after months of work and renovations by the new track owners. And it was apparently a rousing success. So many people showed up they had to turn people away. As for the car counts, I have no idea. They had 15 late models practicing Friday night. 20 has become the "decent" number for LM here in Florida it seems.

2 weeks ago, I had a motor blow in the Mini Stock I was supposed to race. It caused me to miss last night's race. But I will be finishing out the season in the car.

Things got real interesting at Bowman Gray last week.

The fun starts right about 12 minutes into the video.
