Definitely the hardest hit I've ever seen, thank god for safer barriers and HANS.

He was probably knocked out for a few minutes. I know from having 9 concussions that when you do wake up you don't really know what's going on. I've had no choice but to take a trip to the hospital in a neck brace just as a precaution. If you lose consciousness the medic is usually required to send you to the hospital to get a head scan. I've even had the misfortune of being airlifted for nothing but precaution. Talk about $$$.

Glad to hear Eric will be alright.

^Yup, got that t-shirt too.

Erm, that explains why he ran you up the track my dear, it doesn't explain why you PMT'd and wrecked him.

I can't imagine Penske is "all good" with Danica unless she's agreed to pay the damage bill.

Maybe she meant it as Hornish's car was more sensitive to being spun out with a flat tire?

What a classless lying b***

Going back to Mclure, it may sound cliche, but it truly is one of the hardest hits I've ever seen. It was truly shocking to watch it live as he seemingly accelerated towards the wall 8O

I think she just used the wrong word, you often hear 'incidence' in the place of 'incident' which is technically incorrect. Not that I'm defending her(!), that was deplorable. Hornish probably just didn't want to fight, hence 'WE ARE ALL GOOD, HONEST!'

Discussing english word usage during a nascar event, who would have thought it? :p

Rain a bit of a problem this morning at Talladega, the place is soaked, and another hard shower moving thru. I wouldn't be surprised if this one wasn't delayed a bit. 80% chance of rain thru the day. I think as long as we start by 3pm central time we should be okay to get the whole thing in before darkness.

Supposed to be 12:19 central. Sunset it 7:34pm so... as long as we're running by 3-3:30 we should be alright. This is when Talladega really needs lights!

Any news on McClure's condition? Or is no news good news?

Can't find anything on his condition.

Anyway, are any of you guys up for a Skype chat during the race?

Well shit, I'm going to a sprint car race tonight. Leaving at 3:30 eastern. I know its selfish, but I'm kind of hoping for a delay till tomorrow.

I mean, I could try to wear headphones all night and hope I don't hear anyone talk about it and watch it when I get home, but I really don't have faith in that.

The Weather.com radar looks ugly for now, but if it all keeps on moving through and nothing pops up behind it, things should be good for a mid/late-afternoon start.

I know the Auburndale track announcer would spoil a race in a heartbeat. They did it to me when I was there instead of at home watching the '08 Bud Shootout.

I'm in the same boat though, only I have to go in to work at 3. I'd be cool with a Monday morning race.

dehhhhhhhhhggaaaaaarrrrrr Go Danica! Go Kyle! :flag: :flag: :flag:

There's also this tweet: "@ericmcclure is alert and taking to family members. He is being kept overnight 4 further observation." If it really is just observation and no real injuries that's brilliant.

(E: Really should have refreshed.)
