When they get a decent field of cars (which is most of the time) they put on a pretty good show. It's like watching them on dirt.

I know it's not quite time for the offseason yet but I've heard a few things while I was at Kentucky.

It seems that Justin Boston will be back for another year in ARCA next season, I know he didn't really compete with Kimmel or Mingus or the one-off guys but he was still pretty decent. Seems like a pretty cool guy the couple times I have met him.

Kentucky Speedway will be on the schedule for at least the next two years, this deal with ARCA was apparently a three year deal. I'm just surprised they're at one of Bruton's tracks.

I heard that there may be a few special things done for James Hylton for his final race at Kansas.

When are they supposed to move to the COT?

I read up on another forum that, according to someone working with the #32 team, ARCA is considering switching to composite bodies (i.e the K&N Pro Series) sometime in the near future.

Another member of the famed Allison racing family is coming to ARCA at Kansas. Donnie Allison's grandson, Justin Allison is making his ARCA debut in the season finale.

I think that is a better idea than the COT one because there is very little risk of supply drying up like what has been happening with the current-style ARCA car. If they would have gone to the COT, the same thing would have eventually happened.

Pretty cool about Justin Allison. Has he done well in whatever series he's run in so far?

This is based on the assumption that the K&N 'Gen-4' body style won't be changing for the foreseeable future I guess. Makes sense then.

It looks like people are coming together to make James Hylton's final race a memorable one.

I read later that Empire Racing, who fields the #82 car for Mason Mitchell built the car that James Hylton is going to race this weekend. They also built a brand new engine for him as well.

I was watching the Chicago race a few weeks back and there was a brief shot of his crew changing tires. I thought, "is that really necessary?"

Nothing on Tom Delaney though, last raced aged 95! Could have seen Hylton do just that as well.

Never let anyone tell you you're too old.

James probably would but he realizes he has to run a team in addition to driving, and it's just too much for him.

How old is Herschel McGriff now? He still runs the occasional K&N West race. He's in his 80's if I'm not mistaken.

Chris Karamesines in NHRA is also up there in age as well, and he has raced some this year. Also in his 80's I believe.

Another NHRA driver, Luigi Novelli is 70 years old and still racing top fuel.

Here's a short clip of Dan & I at Du Quoin on Labor Day weekend. Standing so close to the cars was so damn awesome. I can only wonder what the USAC cars are like(if they ever get enough of them to show up.)
