Reading old NASCAR threads from old the old forum is really cringey I'm realizing. So many people trying to sound smart because maybe with their expert analysis, TBK will make them mod.

They need to get Ken Squier and Ned Jarrett back in the booth. Seeing them at Darlington made me feel both young again and really, really old.

People wanting the tandems back. At this point you can only put that down to senility.

Tandems are what made me realize "Hey, the first 160 laps of pack racing isn't so bad after all..."

I enjoy pack racing. If they just went to a similar package to the one used in the early 00's then we would have pack racing and crazy lead changes as well. But Dale died so NEVR AGAN!

Well, they used that package for the rest of 2001 AFTER Dale died. It led to as far as I know the last caution free race in NASCAR the 2001 spring DEGA race, which even without a caution was a FANTASTIC race. And the 2001 Fall DEGA race was great too.

If they abandoned that package because of Dale's death, it doesn't make sense why they continued to use it throughout 2001.

Xfinity Series used that same 2001 aero package from 2004-2009 I believe.

Looks like NASCAR Sprint reduced G-W-C to only one for Dega race

Well they should bring back a similar package. Those plate races were fuckin nail biters from flag to flag. And the fact that a caution free race could have been so spectacular shows what kind of entertainment value it had.

NASCAR gonna Nascar

I wish the commentators would dress up for Hallodega/Degaween like they did years ago.

Halloween and auto racing don't go well together for me.

We lost Greg on that date.

The early 2000's pack racing was the best racing I've ever seen.

If it's the 1-2 Hendrick show like it's been, it'll be Jr in victory lane Sunday.
