Man, there are ARCA brakes and then there's this https://youtu.be/ol070HCGJTE?t=1855

And this https://youtu.be/ol070HCGJTE?t=5842 is pretty much identical to Steve Grissom's Atlanta rollover, a year before it happened.

It's a miracle that nobody was killed in that race. Easily the biggest crashfest I ever watched.

It's interesting to see what facts tend to get lost in this race's legend. Namely, not only the top two wrecking each other out, but Joe Ruttman and Geoff Bodine running 3rd and 4th respectively. Note Ruttman spinning before he even got to the crash, then almost straightened it out by smashing into the side of Trevor Boys.

Special mention to Bill Elliott's wall-ride early in the going.

I'm glad you included the '74 Firecracker. IMO, it's a better display of Pearson's talents than Daytona '76. I mean, yeah, Pearson had the foresight to keep his car from stalling after spinning in '76, but the audacity of Pearson to let Petty by and then get him on the last lap, that was a ballsy move.

The first ever truck season and their only visit to Saugus. It was a wreckfest.

Here's the 1998 ASA race at I-70 Speedway.

Among a couple of drivers in the field were Adam Petty...and some nobody named Jimmie Johnson. Wonder what became of the latter.
