The day should have ended with the Indy 500, as this was just painful. Even when Danica was dropping like a stone, we still had to get updates on her every few minutes. The Gen 6 continues to blow hard on anything over half a mile, but it's ok, we'll solve it by reducing engine power next year. :slaphead:

Watched the whole race in about 40 mins on fast forward. Love the DVR.

One of the worst stock car race weekends I've seen in sometime. The Nationwide race was a joke and the 600 was just 300 more miles of that.

Indycar would put on a better race here.

It wasn't an absolutely terrible race, but it wasn't good, either. Just a typical NASCAR race.

Well, we all know what happened the last time IndyCar raced at Charlotte...

To be fair, up until last night, the racing this season has been above average.

Yes, besides this race and Vegas, the Cup races have been surprisingly entertaining.

And, you know, there used to be some side by side racing in amongst all the red flags too.

are ya sure? The DW12's been a bit of a dog at Texas, don't see how that would change at a similar track.

Dog how?

If you mean "They don't all run round in one dangerous as fuck pack" then yeah, maybe.

I think it's improved the racing there, personally.

I agree it's made the racing overall safer, but I don't really remember anything race having noteworthy side by side racing. , even just with two cars.

I mean it's gone completely polar opposite in terms of racing at Texas.

Indycar + 1.5mile tracks + pack racing = tragedy.

I know it would never happen; but I would love to see what these cars could do at Daytona. Keep them around 235mph-ish.....it might work?? :tumble:

Does that mean they can't go back? Times have changed. CART never even stopped the Michigan race, and kept going back, so did IndyCar.

The 2012 race was great. 2013 they fucked it up by mandating the Indianapolis downforce package. It proved pretty well that the 'less downforce' mantra isn't always a good thing.

As with Russell Phillips being decapitated the Sportsman race at Charlotte. Humpy seems to head for the hills if tragedy strikes there. Don't even run ARCA there after Eric Martin was killed.

Well since Humpy isn't part of the scene anymore, lets bring the IndyCars back!
