Sorry, that's not what I meant. I was just saying Loudon sucks, too, and always has.

As far as the 1.5 mile tracks goes, no absolutely not. Those fall under the boring/shitty category. Yes they may be fast enough, but what good is fast without any excitement?

NASCAR needs another road course or two in their schedule. And I mean a good, fast road course like Watkins Glen. Road Atlanta comes to mind. On top of that, I really think they should build another restrictor plate track. Why the hell not? Its by far the most exciting and most watched racing in NASCAR. They could've built one by now instead of those boring 1.5 milers.

You might get your wish since NASCAR bought Road Atlanta a while back.

Of course NASCAR not being very bright as usual...

Do explain how that's a NASCAR deal and not the track? Oh wait, bashing Nascar is the cool thing to do these days for most of you guys though... but wait... you guys post in a NASCAR race thread. Am I the only one that thinks the bitching this week has been absolutely hilarious?

Suck it up. The Chase is here to stay. The old system isn't coming back. It's not the Winston Cup Series or Busch series. And, here's a huge pill--North Wilkesboro and Rockingham are not coming back. Crazy talk, right?

Yes, that's exactly right. Let's just sit back and try to enjoy the fact that NASCAR has mismanaged itself into a bloated carcass of utter nonsense.

So how is coming into a NASCAR thread and bitching about NASCAR being productive? Is it having that much of a negative impact on your life? Are you losing sleep? Seeing a Psychologist?

First off, having a thread dedicated to a specific topic doesn't mean that the discussion about said topic should only be positive. So go ahead and get that notion out of your head.

Secondly, you can't have it both ways when you discuss "impact on your life". We've all spent lots of time, money, and in some cases even effort to watch NASCAR races one way or another (in person, on TV, etc.) in the good times. It's safe to say we were committed to it. But when the series began to trend toward the shitter and people became frustrated and enraged you can't just tell them to shrug it off. One way or another, a healthy person should get over it, but there's going to be a strong phase of indignation before that time comes.

You're right. It doesn't need to be positive all the time. But the constant bitching about it grows old. If I had a girlfriend and I constantly bitched about how she sucks, she's changed, she's selfish... what do you think the #1 response would be from the vast majority of people?

It's been a decade. Time to let it go.

Gentlemen, start your MGU's

(Loved how there was immediate booing for him missing a word :P )

Anyway, race is on in the background which I'm sure I'll barely pay attention to, before the whole "Durrrr y u subject yourself to racing you know will be boring" crowd sharpen their axes.

It's a race, after the green flag drops, ANYTHING could happen...

I mean it won't, but it COULD :p

Well, there was passing!

A shame both cars didn't stand up to kyle the way they then went on to race each other hard for second (thus handing kyle even more of a lead) but side by side racing is side by side racing so...wooooooh?

From that in-car… these new dash panels are pretty cool looking.

Late to the party.

Anyone who takes the fight to kyle immediately becomes my favourite driver.
