Well, it IS Kansas...plus, I think a lot of people are worried about what they should give to their mothers than watching this race.

From the archives of old TBK. The September 07 Kansas thread had 44 pages.

From the looks of it it'll be a battle against the weather tonight.

Can someone tell me why they chose Kansas in May for a race? This is from the Storm Prediction Center:

SUPERCELLS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VERY LARGE HAIL APPEAR POSSIBLE
DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS...PARTICULARLY AROUND THE ST. JOSEPH
MO AND KANSAS CITY METROPOLITAN AREA...BUT SIZABLE LOWER
TROPOSPHERIC TEMPERATURE-DEW POINT SPREADS AND MODEST LOW-LEVEL
HODOGRAPHS SUGGEST THE RISK FOR LOCALIZED DOWNBURSTS MAY BE MORE
PROMINENT.

Btw 22-23z is 5-6pm Kansas time

Yeah it looks like the timing of that couldn't be worse. RaceWeather is suggesting it might delay the start but allow some racing later in the evening, but hopefully everyone stays safe regardless.

Confirmed tornado just east of Liberty, MO, which is a suburb northeast of KC metro.

As of right now the track isn't in any immediate danger for storms. There's some severe storms south of Topeka that's aiming for the track but if we're lucky they'll curve more due east and miss.

That's the hardest question I've ever heard DW ask. Can you win a championship with Roush. Not the normal DW softball.

Haha Carl just took a shot at them too, "let's talk about your ratings then" in reply to their quips about his contract negotiations and wins...

Also, regarding DW softballs... I think he's been taking easy ever since Tony bitched at him at Richmond circa 04.
