This is one boring practice session.

This reminds me of the first Bristol race with the new banking years ago when they had two cautions for single car spins instead of the usual short track madness.

Gilliland hits the wall. Caution with 8 to go...

A perfectly boring, but legitimate race. Now about to be ruined by that bogus caution.

I stand corrected. They behaved.

Byron wins.

This will probably be the worst race of the weekend.

Damn, that was boring. Guess it's a good thing they shortened it by 100 laps.

These cars have too much grip for this track.

I’m sure the cold weather didn’t help.

That was boring as hell. I still don't get why people like Martinsville

Marty is fun when its low grip in the day. Night racing is bprong single file glued to the bottom with no tyre fall off.

doesn't matter with this new car imo

it's just over gripped & under powered to begin with

What we've seen so far is great races generated because of cautions from accidents, spins, mechanical failures etc

Martinsville is only crazy when you have cautions generated by someone being mad at someone else because of something that happened a few races/months/years ago and deciding to take vengance

The only real way to pass someone here is through contact and without that, you don't really have anything to see...

I guess it's too early in the season for anyone to have a grudge yet, give it time

that was one of the worst martinsville races in history. i'm not asking for a wreckfest but there was nothing 'short track' about it. there's been boring martinsville in the past too but any enjoyment in watching this for the strategy/attrition is gone with mandatory stage breaks. i feel like everything that is terrible with the sport happened in this race. and why is this shit at night, it should stay a day race.

At least Xfinity put on more of a typical short track race so we know it's not the track. They just need to bring tyres that wear more and increase the HP. Can't do much about the temperature, they had similar temps last year running during the day.
