Yeah, I glanced at the NASCAR subreddit last week after the All-Star race and it was mind-boggling to see so many posters fawning over it. Was the same from the usual suspects on Twitter too. The only people NASCAR will listen to are the ones NASCAR won't let slag off NASCAR's idiotic decisions. |

Of course people are going to fawn over it. It was actually close and exciting beyond just the first lap. 90% of the viewers are not going to know it was done by devaluing driver talent like the ten people who frequent this sub-forum. |

I dont think there are so many of these "casual fans" left. What nascar needs is a proper fix of everything, not a band-aid shitty package. |

Ehh, what NASCAR probably needs is to die, it's never going to be what it was. What America needs is more legit racing series that have decent tv/online coverage. A mixed short oval/road course touring car series running lightly modified small/medium cars would be interesting. |

Just get rid of all the 1.5 and 2 mile aero snoozefests and run slow tracks. |

Nonsense. What? I'm on your side, so to speak. I too would rather see changes that puts the onus on mechanical grip and raise the front, do away with skirts and splitters. But do you honestly think the masses get that? Do you really? They are just going to fawn over whatever keeps the pack bunched up and lead to crazy shit. |

Comparing a sub forum with a sub reddit, as though they are different. Causal fans sat in the grandstands they've torn down and made up the percentage of viewership that's lost in each successive year. |
