So in effect, they've just moved forward the rain delay coverage by an hour.

There is a break in the rain somewhat right now over the track. I don't know how long it will last. Notably, it is not raining outside my house, which is five minutes from the track.

This weekend will force their hand to repave. Hopefully the weepers won't be as bad as Texas was.

Hopefully they delay the race for a little later, the track has structure for night racing so, I don't see major problems with it.

Crazy hypothetical: weepers get really bad, rain won't stay away long enough, track has to get repaved ASAP, race is rescheduled for later in the year on a new surface.

Which would completely wreak havoc on the Chase format and marketing.

pretty much like what happened in Spa in 1985, race was scheduled to run in early june but on the practice sessions the new tarmac was worned out and race was postponed to september

nowadays they would cancel the whole event because the latter part os the season is packed with much more races

Apparently Waltrp was extalling the virtues of how 36 cars is a lot better for NASCAR because they're all quality entries
not that with 42 cars you'd have 10 start and parks and with 36 cars you've probably got a similar amount of start n parks but less quality entries in front of them

He will extol the virtues of just about anything NASCAR, often contradicting himself. Having said that, he is nowhere near as bad as Jeff Burton.

That tiny rear spoiler is so obvious.

Almirola running 7th.

And there are still people claiming that Danica wasn't the issue.
