That's cute. That's from 2002 or 2003, right? AKA last proper Cup season.

Don't know how this got past my radar, but this guy uploaded a bunch of Davey Allison's old home videos.

Davey and friends (including the late Clifford Allison) on the lake. Check out ageless wonder Red Farmer, proving he's as much of a natural on a jet-ski as he is on the short tracks.

And here's Davey.... getting spanked. Don't ask.

Here is the Satellite Feed of the 1996 Winston Select 500. You can hear Bob Jenkins' reaction to Ricky Craven's crash that happened during a commercial break.

This is an interesting find, an all-black stock car series that ran in the South in the late-40s:

"Featuring all colored drivers" - "Section of grandstand reserved for colored"

The South was a fucked up place.

There's a brutal t-bone crash at 1:00 that I hadn't seen before (Joe Frasson hitting Skip Manning in the '76 Southern 500). I'm surprised Manning survived considering how much damage there was to the driver's side area.

Yeah that was a bad one, Manning only missed one race. Frasson's head knocked out the windscreen when his seatbelts broke.

I've been watching the 1987 Winston Cup season via YouTube, and all you got that year was Dale Earnhardt...Dale Earnhardt...and more Dale Earnhardt (especially during the early part of the season). I think 1987 was the best of his seven championship seasons because of the rate in which he finished in the Top 10 (just under 83 percent of his finishes in '87 were Top 10s), including the 11 races he won that year.

But here is a race that Ol' Ironhead did not win: the Talladega 500 in the sweltering Alabama heat.

EDIT: this one just landed on YouTube a couple of days ago, the Champion Spark Plug 400 at Michigan (which I don't recall seeing before) as this was Tim Richmond's last race.

Just remembered that 20 years ago when Jeff Gordon became the second driver to win the Winston Million.
