Plenty of highlights and crazy stories to cover the fact that there was maybe four green flag passes for the lead in a 600 mile race.

I played the DVR game, but basically, Kenseth made one wrong pit call, and that fucked him, correct?

I know this race usually gets a bad wrap, but I rather enjoyed today's Coke600

I think he got trapped by a debris caution, which then meant he had to take the wave around and start at the back.

And I tell you what, Dave Blaney was absolutely feral on the radio after he and Kvapil wrecked in oil, I counted at least 6 f-bombs in about 20 seconds from that transmission, saying stuff about not being notified of a yellow, no warning of oil, and a lot of screaming and shouting. Must say it was amusing to listen to.

Overall, I didn't think the race was too bad, wasn't the best I've seen, but I've certainly seen worse. Picked a good spot to sit too, with 2 blowups and 2 other wrecks happening right in front of me.

Agreed. Surprised you managed to stay awake. I skipped through it in about half an hour this morning. :p

Anyone got a YouTube highlight of the last bit of the race? I snoozed out of this one.

Another one...this captures the exact moment the wire snapped:

If that would have snapped the wrong way it could have been something straight out of final destination

First the Nationwide crash at Daytona, now the cable cam during the 600......fans are gonna need an Ironman suit to watch the races now. 8O

Yeah grabbing it was a really stupid thing to do....

Let us hope FOX don't start experimenting with that Hover-cam seen in BTCC and F1 recently, otherwise that thing will go down and take a few fans with it....

Grabbing that cable is seriously dumb - especially with cars circulating. I remember reading some advice for photographers that said to never lean against an armco or K-rail because if a car hits it even further down the road, the vibrations through the thing can still break your bone ... if you're holding that cable when it gets collected by a car, I'd predict something similar.

Idiots for holding the cable

Better hold the cable above your head, or at least just maintain it there, than leave it hanging on you shoulder, by the side off your neck.
