That Kodak scheme will always be a top 10 Nascar scheme, classic and simple.

I really think Ernie would have got MM a championship in the Kodak car had he stayed.

Sterling Marlin pretty much would have won the championship for SABCO in 2002 if not for the Kansas crash, so I don't think he was holding them back from a championship either. IMO Morgan Mclure were just not consistently strong enough across all tracks.

Great on speedways, lacked on smaller tracks. On the road courses only Ernie gave it a good run due to his RC skills.

Yet the first Cup win for both Ernie and Morgan-McClure was at a short track (which was also at MM's home track, Bristol).

Yep. First pole came at Bristol also with Rick Wilson.

Germain Racing unveiled their car for Darlington.

Image

This car is painted like Smoky Yunick's car from 1963. The car they ran last year was painted like his 1968 car.

I guess :(

personally I don't think anything after 1997 or 2000 should be considered as a throwback paint to be honest

Hey, do you like Dale Earnhardt? Because here's another chance to see some mediocre drivers bring cars that sorta look like his to a mid-pack finish!

Brother of Collin Cabre. Collin won a K & N East race at Dover in 2015. I think both are part of the Drive for Diversity program.

You know, I saw so many people hating on this on Twitter/FB... why? Because it's Austin Dillon? Ryan Newman? Because it's not Dale Jr? What does that fuckin matter? If Jr ran this people would be jacking off until they were shooting blanks. I think it's pretty cool especially with one car being the actual 3 car. People bitched that the sponsor doesn't match it being the Wrangler car, well last year Carl had a Home Depot scheme to honor Tony on the 19 (not 20) and had Arris as a sponsor and not Home Depot and no one complained. God I swear people just like to bitch for no reason...

The 3 I get. Though without sponsorship from Wrangler it is kinda weird.

The 31 though. Can't they run a classic Caterpillar scheme? For once?

If this was a rare bit of Dalestalgia and RCR/NASCAR had much else to get excited about I would enjoy it a lot more, but it seems like they're increasing the frequency of Dale marketing opportunities to make up for the lack of anything else going on. I'd feel the same way if Jr was running the car, except probably sadder for Jr. Next they'll be bringing back the 3 fingers on lap 3 thing.
