I never waste my time watching this race flag to flag but I watched bits and pieces through the night. Truex absolutely deserved the win and it would have been a shame if anything happened to take it away from him.

This wasn't a good race, but what a performance! Hopefully the car's legal.

As dull as that race was, I must say that it was wholly impressive. That race didn't win itself and Truex really earned it.

Time to sleep now

Likewise. Usually on Sunday or Monday I just check NASCAR's Youtube channel to see a few minutes of highlights, or sometimes not even that if the video titles aren't anything intriguing (eg. Kyle Busch wins NXS __________). My passion has waned enough to not wanna bother spending hours watching any parts of the race LIVE anymore. I didn't even watch any of the Talladega races this year. :/

If I have to sit through 600 miles of domination I'm glad it was Truex giving the whopping.

I never thought I would see a performance in NASCAR's top series as dominating as what we saw tonight. After the close calls that Martin Truex Jr. and the #78 team has had this year, they deserved a night like this. I can think of 3 races in the last 25 years that come close to this, in terms of domination, even though they weren't 600 mile races. One was Kyle Petty in the fall race at Rockingham in 1992. The second was Ernie Irvan in the fall race at Charlotte in 1993 and the third was Ernie again at Sonoma in 1994. That #78 car was untouchable tonight.

Our GoT party just ended and I fired up the DVR to fast-forward the 600, but apparently our local Fox station was out all day.

Now we're watching Live Free or Die Hard cause Murica

our slow descent into madness finally ended with the cops being called apparently we cannot ducttape an airhorn to a nitro RC and run it up and down the road

It may have been a boring race but a performance like that usually brings it. Pretty awesome to see.

Definitely was a history making shellacking. You'll only witness stuff like that once in a great while. You wanna say it sucked cause it had no photo finish or 30+ lead changes, but damn that was just so impressive. Six Pack had him cleared off two TWICE and Truex still lead both of those laps, unreal! Not a more deserving winner in the garage either. No bullshit cautions at the end either.

The one with Jeff Burton at Louden was thanks to NASCAR putting restrictor plates on the cars and making it almost impossible to pass.

If I had to be in the stands for a domination like that, I'm glad it was Truex Jr. I don't think his car so much as bobbled the entire night. There were a couple of times late in the race when it looked like Johnson or Harvick might run him down, but he blew JJ's doors off on that last restart.
