trout wrote: btw - i love pocono. 1. its not a "cookie-cutter" 2. the drivers really have to drive the track - in other words, its technically challenging for the drivers 3. its not a cookie cutter 4. 200+ mph 5. wrecks have the potential to be epic You forgot that it looks awesome. More tracks should look like Pocono. |

I wish more tracks had kept the oldschool look like this place has. Also, from looking at all the RV's in turn 1, that ARCA wreck could have been a disaster. |

Just before he would have contacted the wall, Graham's car struck a paved path and launched over the rail. The car spun and came to a rest inside the guardrail after sliding through grass, with the car's rear end resting on the top of the barrier. yeah it's uhm in this thread |

I guess after the ARCA race they'll probably pave the inside of Turn 1 now... |

I doubt it. Look how long it took them to install catch fencing. They probably haven't even heard of tarmac runoff. |

I wish they'd change Talladega back to how it looked in the past. Tracks that look like shit own. |

Since Dr. Joseph Mattioli has stepped down as CEO and put his grandkids in charge, who knows how they'll operate now. They might actually do something about it. Unfortunately. |

Joe A wrote: I wish they'd change Talladega back to how it looked in the past. Tracks that look like shit own. Seriously. That's the thing that annoys me with the paved infields more than anything else. Even aside from the fact that it makes the racing lamer because they have to have the bullshit yellow line rule, it just LOOKS ugly as can be. |

Joe A wrote: I wish they'd change Talladega back to how it looked in the past. Tracks that look like shit own. Remember Riverside? Remember that one time someone went through the concrete wall? Awesome. I'd rather see a track being run-down over state-of-the-art facilities. Maybe uncomfortable in person, tho. Most likely, they'll just sell the track and turn it into a housing project. |
