Knowing I've gone against popular opinion here since ohhhhhhhh about 2005, that would be a difficult proposition.

Well, how about you just don't mess with Kenseth during the Chase if he has a shot of winning it (pending him making it), that'd be greeeeeeeat.

Worst race I've ever attended

I'll be shooting up there too. Sitting between 3 & 4. Staying in Manchester for the weekend. Loudon is one of my favorite tracks. This race last year had some good action.

I'll be in Manchester as well. Staying at my buddies house though

The battle between Earnhardt and Burton when Dale was trying to stay on the lead lap/get his lap back was good stuff. Also Bobby Hamilton hitting that woman in the garage.

Listening to the 1994 race on MRN throwback thursday. Already on caution flag 16!

I'm staying at the Courtyard Marriott with the wife and another couple. Have you ever been to Milly's Tavern? Looked like a good brew pub to try for some food and drinks after we settled in.

Honestly this is my first time going to NHMS that's not on a bus trip, haha. Last time I was there was in 2006.

Logano just had his LR go down entering T1. Slapped the wall pretty good with the right front/rear corners. Backup car coming.

I always wanted to know what the view was like from back there. Looks pretty legit.

I've always wanted to sit there as well. We're doing the whole RV for the weekend thang for the sept race but will have grandstand seats.

how many people here consider this their "home track"? Just curious? Clearly I do.

Well I'm more or less equidistant from NHMS, Pocono and the Glen and I've been to each a bunch of times, but NHMS feels more like home than the others. Not really sure why, but having my favorite tailgating scene sure doesn't hurt.

Rockingham is 30 minutes from my back door driving through the country and a little ways on US 1, which is four lanes now from the track to the Pinehurst area. We worked and partied hard there in the infield over many years. Penske bought it and closed the infield to fans so it could hold all the driver, team owner, crew chief and media fancy motor homes. Then Brutus bought the place and dug out the backstretch mound of dirt with concrete seats and replaced it with aluminum stands that allowed the cold February winds to blow through but crammed more fans in and added the same kind of extra seating in turns 1 and 4. All this time ticket prices steadily went higher and higher for fans and both race dates were changed to worse times of the year weather-wise. And then everyone was puzzled about fan attendance going down and Brutus auctioned the place and stole the backstretch grandstand from Andy.

Enjoy going to the races at NHMS while you can; things change.
