Scotty makes some very salient points. Getting sponsorship is no piece of cake, and people need to know what they're getting for it. Local businesses are normally the best bet but they're going to want all of that information and to be convinced by the benefits of it. The key question is what are your sponsors getting from you, not what can you get from them?

He may be a prime thunderc**t but Jason Plato actually wrote an (Autosport Plus) article about how he's managed to make his career and he credits most of it to business sense. Looks like (in addition to the fact that he is) a colossal prick selling those sandwiches but it keeps him in a racing car year after year. It may not be as fun as driving the car but you need to sit down and plan sponsorship and how you're going to get it, plan your pitch to people and target the right people. It's like applying for a job.

There are other points about the audience here, and elsewhere online, might not be right for coming up with what (I'm sorry, really is) serious cash. I don't earn too much over $15000 per year.

$15,000 is really a small amount to run ARCA. That's reasonable to ask for.

I'm pretty sure I remember Venturini asking $25,000 for each race at the sub 1 mile tracks, and $50,000 per race at the 1 mile plus tracks.

BUT that being said… need a little better presentation. Website?

Milka Duno paid 1.5 million last year to run a full season for the Venturinis. I know others are in that range. It depends on how fast you want to go.

On a somewhat similar subject, I spoke to Eddy Mains earlier this year about creating some sort of initiative to get the forum more involved with its members' racing exploits. I know there are a lot of members who are actively competing in various forms of motorsport and I think it might be a good idea to use the forum to promote that. The idea we came up with was to send out a couple of free TBK logos to go on a car, and then we'd have somewhere to post updates on how all the "Team TBK" drivers are doing in their respective series. This could be combined with the TBK front page and Twitter account to share news and videos and generally get TBK drivers noticed.

Not quite what the OP is asking for but it might be interesting to start doing something like that.

Get a job rather than asking for free handouts on a racing forum. $1 isn't reasonable to ask for. I'd rather donate my money to an animal charity.

I'd be game for that, just something for me to do.

Several members here have brought up good points, like this one. Have to consider the ROI. Sure, Dogecoin got a lot of eyeballs, but that's what they're looking for. I'm not sure if this place getting a ton of attention from any racing series or media groups is a good thing.

Remember this, Dave.

To be fair, I don't think this place is as well hidden as we think it is any more. We do after all have a fairly popular youtube channel with links to the forum plastered all over it...

From the moment the portal went back up and the Youtube page gained momentum, we've gone back to the secrecy levels of 2007.

I love how this guy cares so much that he hasn't answered any questions and hasn't logged on since June 8th.

YES LETS GIVE YOU MONEY.

Must be embarrassed that his grand vision of everyone on TBK going "BEST IDEA EVER, I SHALL NOW GIVE YOU A GORILLION DOLLARS" without question blew up in his face.

Can we at least send him some TBKL stickers for the car just to patch things up?

That would be the right thing to do.

I mean, we all might be the key reason why he won't living the ARCA dream.

I'll send $5 but I expect a TBK-Light button that I can pin on my shirt at work in return.
