This surface must be extremely temperature sensitive or something. The fastest truck lap yesterday afternoon was in the 128-129 mph range and then jumped up 5-7 mph faster in the evening. Now back in the daytime (or late morning in PHX) and the fast N'wide lap at the moment is back down to 131 and change.

Nur Ali caught the wall a few minutes ago and now the 52 (Joey Gase) comes to a stop with a broken trackbar. What a messy session this is.

Bad weekend for funded drivers. Blankenship hit the wall in the 44, Nur Ali had trouble in the 70 and the 41 also binned it. Townley trashed a truck in practice yesterday.

Could be another Kansas this weekend..... Cup practice underway...

Still quite a few cars left, but so far Johnson is about 3-4 spots behind Keselowski in qualifying. Also looking like the track record is going to fall.

I mistakenly thought pre-race went until 8:30. anything interesting happen in the first 40 laps? I got up just in time for King's crash.
