I was surprised to see this news this morning. Hopefully Regan Smith makes the most of this opportunity and turns some heads for next year. Glad to see AJ Allmendinger getting a chance to get back behind the wheel as well. |

Makes me wonder if more drivers should be tested for concussions after hard hits. |

Coming from a motocross background, I've had my fair share of concussions. I made the mistake of racing the same day that I had a concussion in the early AM practice, fell lightly on the start of the race (from what I'm told) and ended up in a coma for 2 weeks with severe brain swelling. It's a very serious issue in any contact sport and racing. |

When was the last time an Earnhardt wasn't in a Cup race? |

The first cup race I ever went to was that very race at Loudon in 2004. Jr ran about 60 laps. |

It was Sept 3, 1979. The Southern 500. Earnhardt didn't start due to his wreck at Pocono. Marty Smith confirmed this. BTW, Woodski, that picture to top off your arguement is priceless Don't let Wayne get a hold of that. He'll use it forever. |

I don't understand how either of the Cope twins can race. They don't have talent, they don't look good. Like wtf? |

If you get points, it means you've started the race and ran at least one lap, are you saying that someone that blows a motor at lap 2 isn't in the race? If so, that's pretty fucking dumb. |

He doesn't mean "If you go 100% by the rules and statistics, what was the last race to start without an Earnhardt in it?" How is this even an argument? |

Apparently the 51 car has smiley faces on it because Kurt is gone. |
