Not to mention the expert ARCA safety crews that take about a half-hour to clean up after a debris caution.

As for Gerhart, well, to quote Frank Kimmel:

no one wants to see a Kimmel winning either.

It would be neat to see him finally win a plate race. Won't happen though.

SecretAgentHarvick is absolutely correct though, Gerhart never actually makes a pass for the lead.

He did win a plate race, at Talladega a few years back but never at Daytona.

Parts from that particular broadcast can be seen/heard in the movie "Funny Games", when the bad guy turns the TV on while messing with his victims.

I thought his debut was at Iowa?

Dega was the first. The Iowa race, ran a week later, was his second.

Ha, that Dega race in 2006 where it was called before completion due to darkness. Kimmel got lucky with that win, so I guess it wouldn't be bad to see him win at Daytona adding to his limited success the past few years. He almost won Dega last year.

I was watching qualifying for the 1997 Daytona 500 the other day, and I noticed the crazy black marks on the wall several times, does anyone have any idea what they are from? I'm assuming the ARCA or Dash race.

When in doubt, always put your money on the Dash series.

I would laugh if Cena one day tried his hand in stock cars in an ARCA race at Daytona.
