As I've been saying since the Eldora race in 2013

WINDSHIELDS BAD. ROCK / WIRE SCREENS GOOD.

Why the f* did they put dirt on Bristol? Nascar doesn't even drive in the rain on ovals, so who thought running on dirt was a good idea

Pretty sure this is karma for NASCAR shafting Tony Stewart and Eldora.

Feel bad for all the small teams who put a truck together to qualify via the heats...

Nothing wrong with dirt, but you have to run dirt cars, not asphalt cars with dirt tires. This is why you've never seen one of these truck races on a heavy track with bite in it... And you never will.

The rain could stop now and they probably won't run tomorrow either. This track is going to have to bake in the sun for a couple of days before they'll be able to race.

The spring race here is just cursed. Had it in March for so long, it snowed every damn year. Moved it to April for a couple of years, it rained every damn year. Back to March this year, and it's raining. What do you do?

At least I got to see my cousin run some laps in the Crate today trying to get the track prepped in before I decided to call it a day and come back to the house.

Nice!

At least it looks like there won't be any more rain for a while now.

The entire state is covered in a flash flood warning or tornado watch and the rain system stretches back to Texas. There's a severe thunderstorm just 100 miles west of the track headed right for it. It's going to be a flooding rain all night.
