Harvick's under threat of not making the final 4, despite winning everything this year. Good job, NASCAR.

Get rid of the normal championship format because someone wins the title with one race victory, replace it with a format in which 9 victories could potentially mean fuck all. That's NASCAR magic

That's one lap back for Harvick

Nemecheck causes a caution but Harvick missed out on the free pass as Hill got lapped.

Big hit for Byron

If Harvick doesn't make the last 4 they should just kill off these stupid playoffs. This would be worse than Ryan Newman finishing 6th in the 2003 standings that prompted the whole Chase BS to begin with.

Elliott takes the lead. 40 laps to go.

#88 with an old school style painting.

Newman was that low because he deserved it. When he wasn't winning he was crashing out. Harvick shouldn't be out of it just because of a bad race, he's leading normal points still isn't he?

30 to go. Kes & Harvick tied on points.

I believe Harvick would have clinched the title here at Martinsville under the old 180 points for the win format.

Keselowski passes Busch and he's IN.

Truex pits. Game over.

Keselowski passes the other Busch too. 2 pts ahead with 20 laps left.

Hamlin suddenly losing places.

Hamlin complaining about Jones

Elliott wins.

Logano, Hamlin & Keselowski IN.

Harvick misses OUT. He spins out Shrub and has Matty D passing him anyway.

Harvick's out after trying and failing to wreck his way in

Well that was just daft

Brain dead points system creates brain dead scenarios. NASCAR is the emptiest racing series on Earth.

Every year something happens where I think "This will do it in" but it never does.

It's just as ridiculous that Hamlin nearly missed the cut too. This is such a bad system.

That didn't work Kevin, you hit the wrong part of him my friend.

If he was intent on getting past then he should've done what Newman did and done it on corner entry.
