They should only do that if NASCAR agrees to run more events within the state.

F1 likes the idea of holding races at non-traditional markets with ridiculously long straights leading to sharp corners because they love DRS better, anyway.

NASCAR kind of did that as well by building 1.5 mile tracks near big cities and removing short tracks from the Carolinas

NASCAR gives up on the new qual system "excitement" and goes back to single-car stuff. What an epic failure that was. Even as idiotic as the Chase itself  It was still early last month when they denied going back to this. Boy, that changed fast.

If they were surprised with the outcome on the superspeedways (anything over a mile) for group qual - i'd laugh like no tomorrow given the SAME thing happened to a extent in Trucks on those tracks

In group qualifying, yeah that would be a good fix. But the best way to fix group qualifying is to not do group qualifying.

I knew from the time they introduced group qualifying that they eventually return to single qualifying. Willing to sell my crystal bowl if you want to stay abreast of what next ballsucky move NASCAR will introduce and revert.

They had that rule, but Newman decided to say "lolnope" and pull off at the last second, even tho they say that if you go into the fast lane, you must be on track. This pissed Clint Bowyer off because he nearly ran into the back of Newman.

NASCAR: nope, no violation there (thus pissing off Bowyer even more)

Did I mention that this rule was introduced after what happened in Fontana?

they were still allowed to park at the end of pit road as long as they didn't impede other drivers. that was when the bowyer/newman thing happened. i'm saying that as soon as the car pulls away from the pitwall where the crew services the car it is not allowed to stop on pit road unless it has a legitimate issue (in which case, if they do stop you just rule they must be pulled back to the pitwall before returning)

group qualifying is much more watchable than single car runs. disappointed to see it go

...you guys sure this is a good idea?

Hmm, for what is that? To suck the air from the ground, so you don't have to deal with dirty air? Or more horse-power? Or else?

Anyway....

When are they finally just go for a no downforce or sideskirt package, ever since GEN4 ended we need that. Hopefully when Gen7 comes they finally give-up on this.
