Funny you guys mention the fact that we're lucky these races aren't on tape delay, and shown a week later. Surprisingly, we still get some races tape-delayed by an hour or more... TSN is apparently the home of NASCAR in Canada, but it often doesn't feel that way.
Still, I can't complain about that, either... in the late 90's, races on ESPN were never shown live, but at MIDNIGHT on TSN. Talk about shitty. You could set your VCR to record, but that was no fun.
Anyway, I do count myself lucky that that's the worst of it, but it's definitely not the commentary about today's racing coverage that sucks. It's just the over-abundance of ads, which is just the way it is in this day and age.
