I remember when I was 14 and didn't feel the urge to comment in every single thread. I'm 26 now and know that quality is much more appreciated than quantity.

Your power-hungry shithead mod thanks you for that.

Yeah, I graduated high school in 2001. I was 21 when I found TBK in early '05, and I definitely made my fair share of baiting shitposts in my early days... haha

Also, it just dawned on me that we're talking with someone who wasn't even alive to witness 9/11. That's so messed up.

Yep, only knows it through a textbook.

Schools still use textbooks? Good for them.

My niece was born in '04, and 9/11 came up in conversation last year. Not necessarily due to learning about it in school (although I'm sure it's been mentioned in History - at least I would *hope* it was), but because she had just been in her room watching videos about it.

It was so strange to talk to her about it. She obviously hadn't witnessed it and experienced the repercussions of it like we all did in our late teens, and referring to things she had only known because she "saw it on YouTube" was a bit of an eye-opener. The world now is a far cry from it was then - everything is available at the touch of a button, and the "knowledge" of our entire history is available in our pockets. That chat I had with her was awkward, and actually somewhat depressing (if only because it made me miss the old days, and it made me feel pretty old).

33 isn't old, FFS.

I disagree. I'd much rather have a red-hot poker stuck deep up my ass than watch a full race at California. Martinsville is at least close.

Amen. For stock cars, Fontana is the worst track in the nation, and possibly in the world. Gad, I hate that wretched dump. I guess that's why the Frances moved it there. BRING BACK THE SOUTHERN 500!!!!!! BRING BACK ROCKINGHAM!!!!!

Me, at 17. I look back and want to think I wasn't that bad, yeah, I was that bad.

This is getting totally OT but every post here is either hilariously outdated or scarily close to true: http://archive.tbk-light.com/viewtopic. ... b331a9fa63
