That was actually my tweet up there. :p

Speed51 was not happy with me for posting it, but I can't say I intended it to reach quite as far as it did.

The racing was great. The street stock race was one of the best races and finishes I've seen in a very long time. The compact feature only had 3 cautions. The mod race was a mess... the pro late model race was a mess and only 14 of the 36 starters were left after halfway.

My race (Super Late Models) started off about the same way as the pro late race. Que "The Big One" taking out 4-5 of the 10-12 involved. Thankfully I just stopped and didn't get ARCA braked. The rest of the race was pretty clean. I played it a little too safe banking on cautions and got caught a lap down early. Hard to get back with the long runs. My car had no front steer in it and was chattering so bad on the bottom that I ended up moving up top and started making passes. It was a hell of a good time but a hell of a tough race. Dead even with the Cup boys in race trim and broke Hamlin's track record in qualifying.

Great crowd Saturday night, mediocre on Sunday that I'll blame on the 5 hour rain delay.

I'd probably go back if they do it again.

The Dream night #1 highlights at Eldora.

Some damn good racing in A-Main #2 between Mars, Pierce and Bloomer at the start

also Delaware-style restarts always confuse me, why put 2nd place back 2 rows?

^Privledge of being the leader... And it's something different. It's only one row though. Leader is alone on row one, P2/P3 row two and so on.

I actually kind of like it. Removes the nonsense of the leader having to be first to the line. If there's a jump start, it's clear as day who's fault it is.

The Dream night #2 highlights

figured out why I was confused by the video from night #1, according to comments on the video apparently Eldora didn't show the initial restart with 3 laps to go on it because there was a yellow a half-lap later

I love rain racing, I like the skill it requires and it's a equalizer. But as a low-budget racer I absolutely hate racing in it on ovals. I'd probably have a different opinion if I could of afforded a extra set of tires that weren't cut (you gotta run camber-cut tires to be competitive in dry weather conditions). Also being a low-budget racer I can't afford to tear up my equipment in it, already had that happen twice due to poor track conditions at other tracks (#1 being sudden downpour, #2 being a oil down that the corner workers didn't check for under yellow during practice.)
