Reading comments on Danica's facebook page is hilarious. People blaming Stenhouse for the accident.

It's nice to see someone come back from adversity and succeed, kinda like Allmendinger in that Nationwide win.

I didn't see any of the race but it's not often that you see David Gilliland, David Ragan, David Stremme, Dave Blaney and Joe Nemechek finishing on the lead lap of the same race.

He's so much of a joke that he beat the best and won on the track - the right way. He could have wrecked Stewart for the lead, but he didn't. He could have put somebody into the wall, like what some other drivers did today, but he didn't. He beat the best and deserved the win very thoroughly.

The fact he wasn't JJ or one of the Busch brothers helps a lot though.

Sure I laughed when Vickers hit everything a few years ago at Martinsville, but doesn't mean I don't want to see him win. I'm quite happy to see him win, beats another Johnson/Busch win for sure!

Or cringed when he made a small error that cost HMS a 1-2-3 at Talladega.

I'm pretty happy with the win. Underdog effect in full swing tho. If it wasn't for the heart disease and the part time ride thing it wouldn't feel so warm and fuzzy. The guy has been a wrecking ball in the past and he is a spawn of the hendrick development system so yeah. But still, as others have said, better than JJ.

I know he was kind of a mess in his last season at TRB, but his appearances since then have been strong and clean.

Also fun to see a "part-timer" get a win. Never would have expected that (no disrespect to Martin or Vickers of course).

You talking about when Vickers took out Junior and JJ in '06? Junior wasn't even with Hendrick yet.

And Johnson has made a habit of doing the same thing to his teammates at pretty much every plate race since.

On another note, Harvick is a fucking dick.

Note to self: lay off the hard alcohol for a few months

You're right, I totally forgot that he's with DEI, months before the whole owner-driver feud.

Kyle Busch calls Newman 'idiot'

Quote:
78-Kurt Busch kept his cool after being involved in a wreck with Ryan Newman that ended his chances of winning Sunday's Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire, but his younger brother didn't. #18-Kyle Busch took several shots at Newman, who earlier in the week learned this would be his last season with Stewart-Haas Racing. "I really hate it that Kurt got tore up and I felt like he had the best car here today," Kyle said to ESPN of his brother, who led a race-high 102 laps. "He was definitely good. He could definitely roll the long runs for sure and I was proud of those guys, but man just stupidity. I mean Ryan Newman is the biggest stupid idiot out here. And he's a big ogre and he can do whatever he wants because he can probably kick anybody's butt, so no sense in getting into a fight with him. But glad he is out of a job." The incident occurred on lap 226 of 302. It turned a potential win into a 31st-place finish that dropped Kurt from ninth to 14th in the standings. Kurt didn't mention Newman after the incident, but said he got hit from behind. The driver behind him was #20-Matt Kenseth. Newman, who finished 39, said Kurt took himself out. "I guess [Kenseth] had a little influence on it," Newman said. "We were kind of in a bad spot having a little bit older tires. ... Just a lot of disrespect from a bunch of guys on restarts. What comes around goes around."(ESPN)(7-15-2013)

Hopefully the "big ogre" eventually beats the shit out of Kyle.

Ryan Newman fires right back

Quote:
To the point of getting into a fight, Newman took a shot at Kyle Busch's personal appearance during his radio interview.

"I'm sure if I rearrange his face I might fix it," he said. "He's frustrated finishing third [actually second] or wherever he was after hitting me first and then giving me a little rub down the straightaway. Just imagine how I feel.

"It is what it is. We know he's not very bright. He's a heck of a talent, but not very bright."
